We will be having class both this week and next. This week we talk more about who Jesus explained he was, and next week we’ll do a lesson on Easter, where you all tell the story, and we work together to fill in the gaps.

A life wholly devoted to God is dangerous. A fully committed follower of Jesus must sometimes go against the ideas of the crowds and culture. Sometimes we have to make a stand. These next three weeks we’ll take a look at some of the dangerous characters in scripture and what they took a stand for… or against.
Do you dare to be dangerous?
Did anyone check out the challenge? Answers due tomorrow. -C.
A lot has changed in our world since the days Jesus walked on planet earth. One thing that has NOT changed is how followers of Jesus care for one another. We are better together. God wants us to be connected to other believers. We’ll talk about this over the next few weeks, how we connect as part of a church, like parts of the body, and like members of a family.
And it counts as connecting as members of the church when you comment on this blog! Whoo hoo!
We’ve been talking about who God is for the last 3 weeks, and today should wrap up this unit. God is so vast, we can’t define Him or explain Him, but we’ve been talking about how we can understand Him a little better…
A teenage Jesus, that’s been something to think about. He really does know who we are and what we have to go through.
Praise God!
Sunday Sessions will meet in December on the 5th, 12th, and 19th. I’ll be posting the holiday schedule soon.
What does you identity in Christ have to do with Santa Clause? Come this Sunday to find out.
I’ll see you then! – Cindy
Would you rather have a cool new gadget or something that’s old and used? Let’s talk about it in Sunday Session this week.
We took two weeks to look at this idea, that God paid for our mistakes, and we are redeemed by His sacrifice.
Everyone gets a ticket, and we can turn it in to get something sweet that costs us nothing, but is worth everything.
No matter how we try to “pass the buck” redemption makes it clear: the buck stops here, easy as ABC.
A: ADMIT you’re wrong.
B: BE a load sharer (own your part in wrong doing)
C: CORRECT your mistakes
Ever wonder what does Adam & Eve eating that forbidden fruit has to do with us today? I mean, we’re not running around in a garden wearing fig leaves or holding conversations with snakes. Who does that anyway? Their bad choices made a mess (original sin) and we get the consequences! Right?
Well…if we’re passing the buck, then yeah…it’s their fault and we’re just here, trying to do our best with an impossible situation.
Is that how you see it? Is that how God sees it? Let’s talk about this week, as your part in the God’s Big Story continues. Expect a sword drill, a key word, and Jolly Rancher Sours!
This week we start a four-week series called “God’s Big Story.” The goal is to connect the dots between the Bible stories we all learned in Sunday School, and the “on-purpose” lifestyle of someone trying to live for God.
How are we all doing with that? We’ll talk more about it in this week’s session.
Expect a short sword drill with two key words, and prizes for those who can draw their sword the fastest! Bring your Bible and be ready to share what’s on you mind. This is your Sunday Session!
